As a former student there this was the first school I dealt with bullying. Over the years I attended there I have gained anxiety. So bad to the point where I now have anxiety and panic attacks when my peers can come off "mean" towards me. It has affected my self confidence, and my overall health. As a former student I can only hope you will take my experience into consideration. The teachers don't care how you feel they are quick to cut you off rather than to listen and understand.

My child has been emotionally abused by this school since kindergarten. After being bullied repeatingly from kindergarten to first grade it took me four times and I had to contact the United States department of education to finally get a sit-down meeting.Ever since that event they have been targeting my child and nitpicking at everything my child does. Prior to me taking it up with the board my child had no issues now they are working overtime to make my child out to be a bad kid. This school has caused emotional damage to my child and our family. Although the academics are there it is definitely not worth the emotional abuse we have had to take!

The principal and the dean do not care for the students more than they care for their reputation. I have a witness teachers belittling their students while I was on campus. It is very disappointing because this is supposed to be a academically excelled School. But it is not worth the emotional damage it causes their children.

We loved Goodman until about mid-way through 5th grade. It seems as if the change in Math curriculum, the pressure of AZMerit combined with the change in school leadership was a triple whammy to what was once a gem in the CUSD system. Our youngest child is finishing up 6th grade and it has pretty much been a joke since the mid-point of 5th grade. Teachers seem to struggle to teach the curriculum and keep up with timely grading work and communicating with the students or parents. There are Considerable amounts of math homework, spelling words, and writing assignments that never get graded or tested on. No consistent teaching, lesson schedule or grading mechanisms. The teachers stop normal teaching in 3rd quarter to prep for AZ Merit. The bullying is out of control. Based on the stories- it seems as if the inmates are sometimes running the prison. Students harassing others, physically touching others, talking back at the teachers and just general terrible behavior that seems to go unpunished. Back to the old way would benefit CTA Goodman!
