I am happy we chose Andersen. The teachers create a positive and interesting curriculum and I feel like my daughter is learning so much.

Wonderful. My child came from a top graded school in a well regarded AZ district and has thrived ten times better at Andersen. There are no pretenses and 100% support. The entire staff genuinely want each kid to succeed.

Horrible from the principle, Dr Meyer, on down. They do not support kids who are being bullied. There are a few amazing teachers on staff but there are several that are bullies themselves and behave and say terribly inappropriate things in class . When it is addressed with them they mock the "discipline" they receive to their class showing the affected student that their voice does not matter and being treated with respect does not apply to them.

I attended AJHS nearly 20 years ago and although the times were a little different then many of the staff were still there when my child started school at AJHS a couple of years ago, however in the past year many of these teachers and staff have now retired and the school has taken on a new principle. Things have gotten so bad and so out of control there it’s ridiculous. Screaming and cursing at kids is unacceptable as a teacher. Ignoring bullying is unacceptable as an educator or administrator. Refusing to help a parent or ignoring their request for contact is unacceptable. Treating the kids that you are supposed to help secure their future like trash is unacceptable. This school needs a serious overhaul and I hope that AJHS can be restored back to the amazing school that it once was. For now, I would strongly caution against sending another child to that place. For their safety and well-being, please explore your school options before committing to AJHS.
