Kyrene De La Mirada School

We absolutely love Mirada after having a really bad experience at another school. We love the Leadership that they embrace and live by. It shows in the students who show those leadership roles and skills every day.

Wonderful. Mirada combines very strong academics with a focus on developing the whole child, as a young person and citizen, all while bringing curiosity and joy to the process! I could not be happier with how my child has grown and blossomed over his 5 years here. As a parent who holds high standards and asks tough questions, I've always felt supported, heard, and responded to. If something's not right, they address it right away. I am beyond grateful that I was able to place my child here.

As others have said, they celebrate mediocrity as excellence and do a lot of cheerleading about the whole leader in me program. If you want your children to start life with a strong educational foundation you can pass on this school. If you are an uninvolved parent, or English is your second language it's probably not a bad place.

Overall my children love this school. The trachers are caring and attentive and the atmosphere is very welcoming.
