Extremely positive experience for the past 2 years for both my child and myself. I have served on the PTO Board as well, and it has been wonderful to see the positive impact we can make for our classrooms and teachers.

Wonderful--I would highly recommend Hancock! The teachers, staff and specialists are kind, great educators and care about the kids.

We moved from out of state where my daughters attended a private school. Hancock is our home school and we have had a wonderful experience here. Every staff member is enthusiastic, positive and encouraging. Mrs. Hull, the principal is amazing and she really promotes that optimism in her staff and students. The teachers are extremely prompt with any concerns that I have about my kids, calling me to discuss even minor concerns that I emailed them about. I feel like my kids are very well cared for, as am I. I just could not ask for a better school. They provide grade level ahead for reading and math. I was surprised to read comments about bullying, but I saw they were from many years ago. I have not heard of any bullying at Hancock. They have Playworks at recess which the kids love and helps them play inclusive games and resolve conflicts. They also had an assembly or two with the theme "Dude, be nice!" The respect the teachers show the kids is wonderful. And the academics are challenging and appropriate. Very happy with Hancock.

We ended up at this school by accident, actually. Although it is the closest to us, we wanted an afternoon preschool. But only the morning at Hancock was available by the time we registered. It was a happy mistake.Mrs. Vallera is seasoned veteran, both kind and firm. My child comes home with a new song, new writing abilities, or new artistic creations nearly every day. He has never once, in the year since starting, uttered the phrase "I don't want to go to school today."Although I understand the desire to put your kid in the best possible environment for learning, I also believe that experiencing diversity, maintaining physical activity, and facing up to conflict are all necessary for growing up. This is why I feel like Hancock, under the caring leadership of Principal Hull, is the best fit for my son.My kid is a bit advanced, so we will see how this pans out over time. But he has thus far been motivated and engaged in class. I will update this review after he has been in kindergarten for a few months.
