Fair. Moved child to a Catholic School where he became a straight A student.

Staff at from the office are not friendly and accommodating. I came in and one of the staff continue talking and laughing with another visitor. She does not even look at me or ask what I need so I have to make gestures for her attention. I left the item and said thank you but she does not respond or acknowledge I was even there. So rude. I work hard and pay my taxes too. She's so offensive.

Overall my experience has been ok. However, I feel that this school lacks in the area of children with special needs. My child has been diagnosed with ADHD, and is currently being evaluated for Autism. Instead of understanding and being patient, the staff is very quick to jump at my son and not take into consideration that his disability can be affecting his choices. I don't think my child is an angel by any means, I know he makes some choices that are not part of his diagnosis. But I feel that every time he makes any type of poor choice he reamed over it and not understood. I think some training in this area for the teachers would be great. I also, think that the staff over exaggerates on some things they call "poor choices" and they give inappropriate consequences. I think they sometimes forget that kids are just that, kids. My son lost recess for a whole week because he was chasing girls and roaring at them (they were playing dinosaurs) And he scared the girls. They ran to the teacher and said they asked him to stop and he wouldn't. So without questioning the situation the teacher took his recess away for a week. I received an email from the teacher saying exactly what happened.I mean, come on, a week? That's a little ridiculous. A more appropriate response would be to ask him to stop and if he doesn't sit him out for that recess only. Needles to say, they have kinks to work out.

This school is awesome! From the principal to every teacher they seem to have a team effort and true compassion for what they are doing! My son is in 2nd grade and every year we think we couldn't get a better teacher and we do! I honestly couldn't rate this school any higher. They are also great at allowing parents to be involved with their kids education and I believe that helps everyone. If you have the opportunity to attend this school you will be extremely happy with your choice in my opinion.
