My children love their school, teachers and friends at Eagle Ridge. They always look forward to going each day. So many wonderful opportunities for students to learn and grow.

My child is a student at Eagle Ridge and is struggling(specifically in reading). We set up a meeting with the Assistant Principal, Reading Specialist, and Teacher. Our goal was to collaborate with the school staff to support our child's learning. The Assistant Principle appeared very disengaged throughout the meeting. She was not aware of basic processes and services that are available for her students. When I inquired about having my child tested for learning disabilities she was unaware of the process(asking the Teacher and Reading Specialist questions after I asked about what services they had). The Assistant Principle mentioned a few times during the meeting that I should have my child tested (for ADD) and have my child "put on medication" and everything would be fine. (We can in looking for a game plan. What we were told just to medicate.) I guess my point is that if you have a child who is behind or has learning disabilities you may want to consider a different school.

The principle Alison Barber is severely mentality unstable. She refuses to help children with special needs.

This school is a joke...I mean seriously. Not all of it necessarily, but a lot of it is. I attend ERES and I have been there since 1st, but we have a new principal, and she really has no idea on how to run a school. She literally has no idea what she is doing, and she scares the younger students. The old principal knew what she was doing and how to run a school. When I was being bullied at that school and my mother came to have a conference, my homeroom teacher was the only one who actually cared about what was happening to me, while the principal was just sitting there making lousy comments. Another person who I really dislike is my reading honors teacher. He has a policy in his class, if you get a failing grade, you can fix it. So I am thinking an easy A class, when he bothers to grade any papers. So I don't get a very good grade on one assignment, and I re-submit it, and I don't get a response in the next week or 2. He will literally sit at his desk and crochet and make origami and all that nonsense when he has a job to do. When my parents went for a meeting he made an excuse saying "I have 60 kids I don't have time for this." I like my reg. teacher though, its nice to have her.
