My son graduate from this high school, and now my daughter is on her way to graduate too. Thank you for your support!

The staff are okay. The Principal who has been there for 10 years, does not speak English correctly. We felt that he has mistreated some of my daughters best teachers. Two actually transfered. We stopped attending open houses after her first year. The Principal is a tyrant. Our daughters friends were going to the school so we let her go aswell. The athletic program is horrible. We tried to help and the AD was helpful but the Principal kept speaking at us. My husband is Hispanic and he is disgusted with the principal even when he speaks Spanish to us. We moved back from out of state and we have not seen any changes in the school. It is the same old story about improving but not showing gains. My daughters three friends dropped out of Glendale C.C. because they weren't prepared. They had 3.5 GPA and some awards. Fortunately, our daughter joined the Navy. We will not send our son to Maryvale.

The athletic and academics of Maryvale is sad. The athletic director has hired her own personal friends to coach and the coaches do not care if the teams win or lose(and the lose a lot) The students are not pushed for higher education and the teachers do not seem to care if the kids do well or not. I talked with the administration about my child's future in basket ball and I was told to pay for a club team , because that was the real way to be seen. I have had no support for my child from the teachers or the counselors. I am looking for someway to move to save my child's education. This school is a joke and should be shut down or totally re-staffed.
