Saguaro High School

Honestly hands down best school around. The staff actually care about their students unlike Chaparal! The student body is friendly and amazing to new students. The staff are amazing with helping your child integrate into the school. A++++

I feel that Saguaro High and especially its math and science program is a hidden gem. All of my daughters teachers are excellent. Some of them even go above and beyond by attending various school and community events (out side of school) that their students are involved in. The math and science program is strong and hopefully with time it will contiune to grown stronger and become better recognized. I feel that Saguaro deserves a better rating/ ranking than this site is giving it. I would rate it as one of the better schools in the Phoenix metro area and I am a picky parent.

I want to start out by saying that I attended Saguaro in high school and I loved it so much that I wanted my now highschool aged daughters to attend. I now feel responsible for the bad experience that my daughter and I have been through with the Administration. After researching previous post, I am informed that exactly what I thought is true, if your child has any type of need or "issue", saguaro will do whetever they can to get your child out of their way!! Saguaro is known for their sports, mostly football and they do go above and beyond for the football players, which is great if your child plays football, but in the case that they don't play, don't expect any help from the admin in any way. My daughter had an encounter with the principal along with a few other students, one of which did the same thing as my daughter, however my daughter got kicked out of Saguaro and put in the SOL program, online learning through Scottsale schools. It's now our second year at Saguaro, and we're off to a great start. My daughter has everything she needs on her schedule (after a little bit of reworking) and has her honor classes. She enjoys dance company , which is great... and will be going on a trip to New York with her dance company. It's never easy for our kids to navigate through high school, but I know she has the support to be a success. It is exactly what each student makes of it, up to the student to keep up with their assignments and become the student they need to be.So glad she loves her school.
