HORRIBLE SCHOOL!!!! There is many things I can say about this school but long story short I asked for information to be removed from his emergency card. They told me no I said i was looking for a different school for him. The same day they dropped my child from all his classes and now hes not able to be in school right now. This school is BEYOND HORRIBLE.

What has happened to this school? When we moved to this neighborhood 18 years ago ready to start a family we factored school ratings into our decision. The Elementary School was ranked high (Liberty is great!) and Sunrise was ranked high. Since that time Sunrise has continued to fall further and further in ratings and this year is at an all-time low. Many of my friends have sent their kids there, only to be very disappointed (and many of them transferred to Desert Shadows mid-year or for 8th grade). I learned from that and sent my child to Desert Shadows, which has been a wonderful experience. But I continue to hear from other families attending Sunrise how poor it is. From what I understand, D. S. middle school now has huge waitlists because word has gotten around. How is this one school supposed to support the demand? Why isn't PVUSD addressing the ever-growing issues with Sunrise? It is not fair that families in our district have to be turned away from a good education at a school, when 1 mile away there is a school that could be great too. Please PVUSE, pay attention to the issues at Sunrise and take action to fix them!!!
