2017 was a record-breaking year for the San Diego County housing market. Be it new homes or resales, buyers snatched up houses and condos in spite of rising prices.

According to a survey by the National Association of Realtors, the preferred home for purchase was a single-family one — homes not attached to a neighboring house or building. This was particularly true for millennials, as 75 percent preferred a single-family home while only 13 percent preferred townhouses and 12 percent called for condos.

With an average price of $877,000 around the county, per the San Diego Union-Tribune, buyers will be looking to Del Sur, East County, and Otay Ranch if they want a shot at the newest single-family residences. But where did buyers look last year?

CoreLogic provided a rundown of sales in different neighborhoods across San Diego County for single-family homes. Here is a rundown of the cities that ranked from No. 15 all the way to No. 1 in total SFH units sold.
