All nine builders in Canyon Falls — a 1,242-acre master-planned community in Flower Mound, Northlake and Argyle — are listed in the 2017 Builder 100 list, and four of these builders are in the Top 10. Published annually by Builder Magazine, the official publication of the National Association of Home Builders, Builder 100 rankings are based on the number of closings each builder had the previous year.

Of the five publicly traded builders, PulteGroup came in at Number 3 and is the highest-ranked Canyon Falls builder. It closed on 19,951 homes and posted $7.6 billion in gross revenue.

CalAtlantic is Number 5 with 14,229 closings and $6.3 million in sales. Meritage Home Corp. ranks Number 8 with 7,355 closings and $3 billion in gross revenue. Toll Brothers is in the Number 10 spot with 6,098 closings and revenue of $5.1 billion. Beazer Homes USA is Number 11 with 5,649 closings and $1.7 billion in sales.

Though the four privately held builders at Canyon Falls are ranked on the Builder 100, they are ranked on a separate list.

With 2,715 in closings and $1.1 billion in gross revenue, Dallas-based Highland Homes came in at Number 3 on the privately held list and Number 21 on the Builder 100.

MHI-McGuyer Homebuilders, the parent company of Coventry Homes, ranks Number 17 on the privately held list and 36 on the Builder 100 for 1,504 closings and $623 million in sales.
