A developer wants to build 525 single-family homes across two golf courses in Tamarac, per The Real Deal.

The developer, 13th Floor Homes, is seeking approval from the City Council for the project at the Woodlands Golf & Country Club at 4600 Woodlands Blvd. According to public records, the land is currently owned by Canadian golf course owner and operator ClubLink, which paid $4.2 million for the property in 2011. According to a notice from the Woodlands Homeowners Association, 13th Floor has an option to purchase the Woodlands golf course from ClubLink.

Homes would have a minimum of 2,000 square feet, have at least three bedrooms, and be priced in the high $300,000s. The developer has said that he plans to leave 120 acres undeveloped and separate the homes with lakes or landscaping. In February, 13th Floor received approval for a similar project in Delray Beach. The developer converted an 18-hole golf course into the Avalon Trails community geared toward people aged 55 and older with about 524 residential units.
