A Miami Beach broker submitted plans for an eight-story, 95-room hotel in Wynwood, per The Real Deal.

The new hotel, located at 51 and 45 Northwest 28th St., will be LEED Green-certified and will include an underground parking garage with up to 80 spaces and 50-plus-capacity bar. The entity behind the project is High Cube LLC, a company controlled by Sterling Equity Realty broker Robert Ziehm. Although Ziehm has confirmed the hotel plans, he has provided few other details.

The permit filed by Ziehm outlines $14 million in work for the project. Records show Ziehm paid $240,000 in 2005 for the property at 45 Northwest 28th St., which includes an apartment building, while High Cube LLC paid $1.65 million for the adjacent lot. The two parcels total 13,800 square feet.

Wynwood has seen new development in recent times, including Related Group and Block Capital Group’s Wynwood 26, and Related and East End Capital’s Wynwood 25. Both are rental buildings with retail space. Also in the works are plans for Cube Wynwyd, one of the first new office buildings in the neighborhood. However, Ziehm’s project would likely be the first new hotel in Wynwood.
