A new list by Realtor.com has California dominating the hottest real estate markets for June 2017, making up nearly half of the Top 20.

Inventory is at an all-time low, dropping steadily over the last 24 months and reaching the longest streak in over a decade. According to Javier Vivas, manager of economic research at Realtor.com, eight out of every 10 markets have fewer options available now than they did last year.

But that’s not keeping California from competitive buyers who drive up prices and speed of sales. Looking at buyer activity through internet searches on real estate websites and length of time homes remain on the market before being sold, Realtor.com revealed eight states made the list alongside California.

We’ve already talked about how Vallejo sizzled as the top Cali spot for March. Well that Bay Area city claimed the title again in June. With a median number of days on the market at 33 and the median home price of $360,000, it’s a cost effective option to the nearby No. 2 spot, San Francisco.

Sacramento came in at No.4, up two spots from last month. San Jose came in at No. 9, a small drop from the No. 5 spot, while San Diego rounded off No. 10. No.14 Stockton, No. 17 Santa Rosa, and No. 20 Modesto also made the list.
