Drone Video Captures Los Angeles' Holiday Lights From Above
While Los Angeles isn’t covered in snow for the holidays, you can still find plenty of decorated trees and light displays throughout the region all December long. But those images are rarely captured all in one place — or from above.
One YouTube user attempted to change all of that this year, however, bringing LA’s most notable holiday images together via drone video. Credit to Curbed LA for first spotting the video, created by Mingomatic.
Among the major holiday decoration destinations they highlight:
- City Hall (Civic Center/Grand Park)
- Downtown Los Angeles
- The Grove (Beverly Grove)
- Manhattan Beach Pier
- Third Street Promenade (Santa Monica)
- Venice Canal Holiday Boat Parade
Brea’s Christmas light neighborhood in Orange County is also highlighted during the three-and-a-half-minute project.
If you missed out on any of the displays this year, let this be a guide for your 2018 holiday season’s viewing plans.
