Shawn Marion, a former pro basketball player for the Dallas Mavericks, has put his Preston Hollow estate on the market for $5.95 million according to Culture Map Dallas

Marion spent almost a third of his record-breaking, 16-year career in Dallas, which included earning an NBA Championship ring in 2010. On the court, he was a go-to player for making slam dunks, but he’s made some slam dunks off the court as well.

Built in 2008, Marion’s 12,629-square-foot, two-story showplace contains a staggering list of amenities including six bedrooms, seven bathrooms, two powder rooms, four living areas, and two dining rooms with ultra-contemporary design throughout.

The master suite is an ideal escape with a private sitting area, fireplace walls, and split level walk-in closet. An inviting round soaking tub is the centerpiece of the luxurious ensuite bath.

Other features range from a combination gym and ballet studio to a state-of-the-art game room, home theater, temperature-controlled wine room, and wood-paneled office. A private lounge that’s lined with TVs and equipped with a DJ booth doubles as an in-home sports bar or intimate nightclub.

Some amenities even come in pairs. In addition to the mansion’s two wet bars and two laundry rooms, the gourmet kitchen contains two microwaves, two ovens, and two dishwashers.

The outdoor entertainment area offers travertine paving, a glass mosaic resort-style pool, a fireplace and a grill for whipping up alfresco dining favorites.

The four-car garage, which actually accommodates up to eight vehicles, is ideal for car collectors.
