Luxury Rowhouse Development Sells Out in Chicago's Prairie Avenue District
The luxury brokerage Related Realty and developer Harbor Side Development just sold out their collection of seven new rowhouses in Chicago’s Prairie Avenue District, a historic district on the Near South Side Chicago.
Calumet Row’s brick-and-masonry homes were designed by architect Michael J. Leary and include four- and five-bedroom floor plans across two four-story buildings. The homes range in size from 3,500 to 4,800 square feet and fetched sale prices between $1.2 million and over $1.9 million. According to a statistic from a real estate data firm included in the Builder report, one of the homes brought in a record sales price for a single-family home in the district.

Wanting to “capture the grandeur of the old Prairie Avenue mansions while incorporating 21st-century upgrades,” the homes have high ceilings, oak hardwood flooring, open living and dining spaces, fireplaces, private terraces, and attached two-car garages. Kitchens and bathrooms have high-end appliances and finishes.
The community boasts proximity to the lakefront and Museum Campus.
