Located a little over 50 miles from Chicago, Channahon is the site of a new development community by M/I Homes. Hunter’s Crossing by M/I Homes is offering seven single-family home designs that start at $209,990.

Homebuyers can choose their desired floorplan, which range from 1,815 to 3,100 square feet with one-and-one-half to three-and-one-half bathrooms, three to five bedrooms, an attached garage with space for two or three cars, and a full basement. Floorplans are for two-story homes.

Within each floorplan there are options to personalize the homes. A mud room, bumped-out bay window, granite fireplace, quartz countertops, and maple cabinets are among the available upgrades.

Home prices range from $209,990 to $274,990.

Cheryl Bonk, vice president of sales and marketing for M/I Homes, told Builder Online that the customizations and available options are intended to make a new-construction home more attainable for entry-level buyers.

The neighborhood will have 65 new home sites right off Route 6 and near interstates 55 and 80. It is a part of the Minooka School District, which includes Aux Sable Elementary School, Minooka Junior High School, and Minooka Community High School.

The Hunter’s Crossing model home grand opening took place May 4. The home is the Dunbar Model, which is a 2,470-square-foot plan with three bedrooms and two-and-one-half bathrooms priced at $254,990.
