The former home of the Orange County Register newspaper will soon be revamped into multiple high-rise towers. Per Urbanize, developer Michael Harrah recently released plans for the $1 billion project, which would bring approximately 2.35 million square feet of offices, multifamily condominium units, retail space, and a hotel to Santa Ana.

The 20-acre redevelopment project is located at 625 Grand Ave. and has been named 625IVE. The massive property will not only be renovated, but three high-rise towers will also be constructed on existing parking lots.

If the project is completed, one of the skyscraping towers (expected to reach 493 feet) may end up being the tallest structure in Orange County.

This isn’t the developer’s only project in the neighborhood. Harrah has also released plans for the upcoming One Broadway Plaza office building, which will be built nearby 625IVE, though there are no scheduled dates for construction.
