There are already many homes in the city of Summerlin and now there are even more to choose from. Per the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Richmond Homes has introduced a new community for potential buyers to consider. The new community, called Onyx Point, will be selling new luxury houses in The Cliffs village in Summerlin.

Per a press release, the community will feature single-story, ranch-style homes priced in the mid $600,000s. The houses are all between 3,370 and 4,010 square feet. Homes will include, three-car garages, three-to-five bedrooms, and up to four-and-a-half bathrooms.

As with all the communities in Summerlin, these homeowners will have access to a variety of golf courses, community centers, walking trails, swimming pools, and some of the best schools in the city.

It’s no surprise that so many new housing developments are being built in Summerlin. The area continues to expand and many new amenities are under development. Downtown Summerlin, the community’s outdoor shopping district, was a considerable addition to the neighborhood when it opened in 2014. It was also recently announced that there will be a new Las Vegas 51s ballpark opening in 2019.  This stadium will hold 10,000 guests and cost $150 million to build.

The Howard Hughes Corporation — the company that developed the Summerlin master-planned community (not to mention Downtown Summerlin and the new 51s ballpark) —  has more plans for the area as well.

Plans are underway on a 267-unit apartment complex near Downtown Summerlin. This complex includes one- and two-bedroom units and features multiple parks across nine acres. It’s unclear at this time if units will be for sale or rent.

Another concept Hughes is mulling over is a mixed-use project just east of Downtown Summerlin. The Review-Journal explains that plans call for 1.2 million square feet of offices, 77,000 square feet of retail, and 4,000 residential units. So far, no official announcement about the project has been made.
