Scottsdale-based Rosewood Homes has seen its fair share of development success over the last few years. The winner of multiple Homebuyers Choice Awards, Rosewood boasts environmentally sensitive homes while providing luxury amenities and design options. For these reasons, they find themselves on pace to become a major builder in the Valley.

With communities in Phoenix (Rosewood Canyon Estates), Queen Creek (Rosewood Grove), and Goodyear (Rosewood Golf Villas), their communities have been praised for energy efficiency and environmental certifications.

Rosewood’s Golf Villas neighborhood in Estrella will provide four floorplan options between 1,886 to 2,891 square feet with a variety of architectural designs. Though originally zoned for 86 homes by Goodyear, the number of homes was eventually reduced to 61 to allow for maximum mountain and golf course views as well as land preservation, according to Builder Online

Although the Valley has felt the burden of a construction labor shortage due to workers moving into other fields during the recession, David Kitnick, president of Rosewood Homes, tells AZ Central it hasn’t prohibited them from moving forward and taking advantage of a surging market.

Recently, Rosewood snapped up more land in Scottsdale, closing on a 21-acre site planned for a new gated community, Rosewood Ranch Estates. The 17 home lots here will range between 0.75 and 1.5 acres and the developer will offer five distinct floorplans ranging from 4,020 to 5,000 square feet. Homes here will include three- to four-car garages, disappearing glass walls, and large courtyards. Prices are expected to start in the high $900s.

For those questioning their choice to develop another Scottsdale community, one would only have look at the success of their other two communities — Sierra Boulders and Sierra Highlands.

Homes in Sierra Boulders were built between 2007 and 2016, with prices that averaged around $1.6 million. The last phase of this community was completed in 2016.

Sierra Highlands, completed in 2017, has sold 24 of its 25 homes, with prices ranging from the low- to mid-$1 millions. Homes here sold for approximately 97.3 percent of their listed price.

Winning 2017 Homebuilding Association of Arizona's coveted MAME Grand Award and Small Volume Builder of the Year award, these communities are proof that their work is recognized at local and national levels. In the 2017 Eliant Homebuyers’ Choice Awards, Rosewood Homes also received six Premier Awards based on the results of 106,000 surveys administered to
