The City of Long Beach working in partnership with the developer City Ventures, Inc. has started laying foundations for the Huxton, a new single-family condominium community in Downtown Long Beach. The collection of four-story townhomes is meant to attract residents looking for green-friendly living spaces at an affordable price. Home prices will start in the high $400,000s.

According to Urbanize, the residential development will consist of 40 solar-powered and all-electric townhomes with six floor plans ranging between 1,240 and 1,900 square feet. The modern contemporary homes come with several features including keyless entry doors, attached garages and guest parking, stainless steel kitchens, and private courtyards. Residents will also have access to community spaces such as a gathering room, outdoor courtyards, a walking path, and bike repair room. New homeowners will have the additional option of upgrading their unit’s appliance packages, cabinet and door styles, flooring, shower enclosures, and window coverings.

The condominium project officially broke ground back in May at 227 Elm Ave., between Third Street and East Broadway. The new residential community is the first of its kind in Long Beach in over a decade. The timeline for this development is TBD, but you can register for more information here.
