A Whole Foods just opened in Riverdale Park—a neighborhood in the Washington D.C.-adjacent Prince George’s County, Maryland—and that’s just the beginning of the wave of development heading to the area. Around the Whole Foods (the first outpost of the grocer in PG County), a mixed-use community by Calvin Cafritz Enterprises is taking shape

Currently under construction, Riverdale Park Station plans to include 180,000 square feet of commercial space, 850 apartments, 120 townhouses, a 120-room Hyatt House boutique hotel, several open green spaces, a pedestrian and vehicular bridge, and a hiking/biking trail. Plenty more retailers have already opened or are on the way to the neighborhood, including eateries, spas, gym, a bank, a Starbucks, and more.

The community is three miles outside of D.C. proper and near a Metro station and the University of Maryland. Townhomes here are available in three styles and range in price from $439,990 to $494,990. All contain three bedrooms, two-and-a-half bathrooms, high-end kitchens, one- or two-car garages, and rooftop decks, with customization available.
