Around Seminole Heights

Many empty nesters are choosing to settle into the bungalow-style homes towards the north of the neighborhood. These are amazing homes that have history, and some were built as early as the 1910s. While some are fixer-uppers, others have already been completely renovated with a lot of modern features, swimming pools, and more. For the younger crowd, there are various condos being developed towards the south, which is closer to Ybor. And while they offer smaller square footage, they have enticing features, including gyms and tennis courts.

A variety of restaurants are found throughout Seminole Heights, including many independently owned restaurants that are popping up along Florida Avenue. These tend to provide the farm-to-table menus where everything is fresh and ingredients are organic and locally grown. There are also quite a few Thai and Chinese restaurants, including noodle houses where a person can enjoy all of the lo mein they can handle. Very few chain restaurants exist in the area, which is ideal for the person who wants something a bit more sophisticated with local charm.
