My son is now in first grade at woodsboro and has been attending since kindergarten. We have had such a positive experience here. His kindergarten teacher Ms Hill was amazing, challenged the students, set high expectations, and made his first year at the school very memorable. He is now in Ms. Brown’s first grade and is continuing to thrive. His teacher is kind, great with parent communication, and genuinely has a passion for what she does. My son loves going to school and being around all the friends he has made. The warm and positive learning school environment is largely due to the amazing principal (dr Lopez). He constantly communicates with parents, keeps us updated with weekly newsletters, and makes the school such a fun learning environment. My biggest fear when my son first started kindergarten was bullying; so far he has not experienced any negativity or bullying. I hope my son continues to thrive and enjoy attending woodsboro
So far so good, my son will be going into 1st grade and my other into preppy K. His year in kindergarten was amazing, his teacher was so great and hands on with the kids, she takes her time with them. My son came out of his shell this past year and is a little social butterfly now, he has also mastered subtraction and addiction at a kindergarten level. His reading is great too. He absolutely loves this school and we do too. We have been to other schools in the past and took him out within the first weeks. Every staff member I have encountered at this school is just amazing, I have never had a problem here.
This school is horrible. Teacher Le are rude and don't mind embarrassing kids in front of other students. The principal does not know how to manage her staff or even keep the children safe. There was a child hit at the school last year. Parents be aware!
I have lives in this neighborhood since before my kids were born. I will not move because I love Woodsboro so much! I is a California Distinguished School 2012! Also, it has a family like atmosphere where everyone knows everyone. Mrs. Mann, the Office Secretary, Knows the name of every child in the school! She makes everyone feel important and special. There are amazing teachers in the school, including Mrs. Hawkins and Mr. Gailey to name my favorites. I really am enjoying the Common Core Curriculum that is being used this year! I feel that it has been a positive change for everyone. It allows the teachers to determine how much time is needed to be spent on a specific area of learning before moving on, rather than rushing through all of the topics in a certain amount of time. It also includes the children in the classroom discussion more than before. I would move to this area just for this school! It is amazing!
