Horrible, too many bad experiences. The school bus me and my fellow neighborhood took every morning was late once and we were denied breakfast.Got detention for the silliest reason, neglecting to get something signed over break that I wasn't even informed about. Because of this I missed my only transportation home and was stranded all evening.I was a student 2000-2002 so IDK whats changed since then.

All in all, my reviews down below summarize my thoughts about this school, which is not very good. This school has a lot of room for improvement, from having better teachers to having better rules in general. If only this school would increase their punishments, students would be more disciplined and behaved. If only this school would promote after-school tutoring more, maybe ALL students would learn something valuable and not regret wasting their time. If only this school would care more about their students, they would have higher test scores and more moral. But who knows, maybe this will happen. I don't have high hopes though. Furthermore, this school can also improve in the food so students can have some type of fuel, as some of it is moldy and stale. But again, I would like to condemn all the teachers who do give a sh*t about their students. Instead of using the district money for useless stuff and events, you should give them a raise! And even though I have rated this school pretty low and said a lot of negative stuff, I do have a few positive things to say. Besides some of the hard-working teachers here, I like the extension of electives and the PE sports and uniforms (even though we should get more softball mitts!). I also like the fact that this school has a decent amount of computer labs. In conclusion, Jones is a "meh-ok" school.

As a former student my experience was that mostly all the teachers were great except for Rodrigo Landeros who is the history teacher here at this school. There were many absurd experiences from him such as: honestly telling him I forgot my binder that had all my school supplies from the previous period and needing to go back and get my folder while his response was that he didn't allow me to and kept putting me on blast in front of the class many times for not having my school supplies while this all could have been avoided if he just letted me get my supplies. Another moment was when I did his homework and got a detention for not doing his homework right all because I did not write "more" in a definition of a word. The list goes on, but to conclude, his behavior was unacceptable in which there was a lack of respect towards the students and it showed through his actions.

This school and among others of this district are taking small freedoms away. At the beginning of the year they told parents that kids cannot walk in groups bigger than 4. Can you believe this? On Halloween, my kid got sent back because he was wearing a "mask" when all he was wearing was a mustache and glasses with absolutely no face paint. Where are the kids freedom of expression on Halloween? ?. They also have to present their ID everyday to enter. This school feels like a prison for children. Ive also noticed that they have adopted a new writing book sponsored by A&E and the History Channel. I dont know how I feel about the Media meddling in public school education.
