Arovista Elementary School

Overall experience is excellent. Teachers are amazing. PTA is so hard working to provide our kids with what they need. The parents are also very involved and approachable. It's a great family environment. My child is thriving and enjoys attending school. As a parents that all you can ask. Happy kids = Happy parents.

The teachers and administration at Arovista are extremely attentive to parent and student needs. The exposure to technology and arts is adequate. Our child has been thriving there. The school facilities are aged though and need work (think built in 50's or 60's). The emergency notification system seems delayed as well. Also, I agree that the daycare program utilized on campus at Arovista is really terrible. The daycare, especially on school grounds, should embody the vision of the school, utilize the same resources/processes and district values (however the current daycare program does not and the daycare program administrators have been rude and extremely inadequate in notifying parents when needed/warranted, the daycare needs more structure, support systems and control).

We have just finished our fourth year as members of the Arovista community. We have been very pleased with the education our children have received at this school. We appreciate the small class sizes (k-3 are under 30 students) and the small school atmosphere. The one to one technology, the innovation lab, piano instruction, and the school veggie garden allow for hands-on learning which my kids enjoy. There is also a lot of emphasis on the good old 3Rs: reading, writing and arithmetic. We have been very pleased with the academic, social, emotional and character growth our children have experienced at this school. I can recommend Arovista to all parents.

I am completely satisfied with the education my child is receiving at Arovista Elementary School. My husband and I both hold advanced degrees in our respective fields and education is very important to us. Initially, we planned to send our child to a local private school and even put down a deposit, however we decided we should really give our neighborhood school a try before making such a long-term financial commitment. We are so glad we did! Arovista has exceeded our expectations in every way. Our child has attended Arovista for two years and both his teachers have been excellent; nurturing, caring and with high standards for academics and behavior. The interactions we have had with the principal and support staff have all been positive. We have found the other parents very down-to-earth and friendly and there is a strong sense of community. Arovista has been an excellent environment for our child and we are all looking forward to the start of the new school year.
