We love CHS...it's an excellent school in every way!

I have nothing extra positive or negative to say about the academics at this school. Calabasas generally performs well in preparing kids for college. HOWEVER, so do many other high schools. High school is not just about academics but kids blossoming socially and making close friends. New students transferring to Calabasas will have a hard time making friends as the environment is not welcoming. Many students are snobby and cliquish, and ignore kids who are reaching out to belong. I was also frankly appalled to see the complete lack of dress code, with girls being permitted to show way too much skin. Wrong values to instill in young women. But what do you expect? This is Kardashian and Justin Bieber country.

My daughter is miserable at Calabasas High. Even though we're 14 year Calabasas residents, she's disgusted with a lot of what she sees on campus. Every campus has their problems, but the drugs, snobbish students, and complete disregard for the dress code is ridiculous. I'm not sure how teenage boys can pay attention with way too many girls showing way too much skin. I wonder if parents even look at what their daughters leave the house wearing. Our daughter is popular and still unhappy with her overall academic and social experience. We're Calabasas residents extremely disappointed in Calabasas High.

I love the generalisations of some of the reviews. "All teachers don't care and are rude" and "all students are snobs". That should tell you enough about the genuinity of these comments. It is a school, it's not a holiday retreat. It's a good school, otherwise it wouldn't get the results it gets. There are some good aspects to this school, and some that are not so good, like pretty much anywhere. We've had our kids there, and can say that we and our kids have been happy that they attended. If you read student reviews on other pages, you will also see that the majority is quite fine. There will always be those that don't fit in for whatever reason, that will be the case in any school.
