In conclusion, with a wide selection of courses (BTL/ESL/ROP/ATA/CP/Honors/PLTW/APs), friendly environment, mostly decent to great teachers or staffs, diverse student groups, moderate academic rigorousness, and innovative programs offered to assist students and prepare them for colleges. Why not Gahr?

I would rate this school a 7/10. I wish they prepared us more for college/SATs because I was an honors/AP student and didn’t know what UC and CAL States were and the differences until second semester of junior year. The school spirit could’ve been better as well. In terms of teachers most of them were good but the ones that weren’t are really frustrating because everyone wonders why they’re still here and make complaints but nothing happens.

I would rate this school a 9 out of 10 because academically it help students prepare to excel in most community colleges and smaller public universities such as Cal States. Unfortunately, the school falls a tad bit short on academically preparing students to UCs and other prestigious universities. Despite this, Gahr does help students prepare great work ethics and an understanding of one’s ability to tackle on academic obstacles which easily helps out students with a slight academic disparity in high-end universities. Most teachers at Gahr were absolutely amazing because they provided students with the guidelines to think analytically versus memorizing information and regurgitating it back out. The teachers also have personal pointers to give students if they are in need of help with their college applications or finding a college right for them.
