Lots of teachers have jumped ship and most high school students will tell you to go somewhere else. Everyone there is depressed and miserable and most of the teachers are just complacent because they are burnt out or just content with their job.

The overall experience at Delta is infuriating and leaves children completely unprepared to enter college or the workforce (excluding agricultural related jobs). Delta does nothing to help children learn, the admins are biased and unprofessional. The school does not help the children who are succeeding and only focuses on helping the students who are failing because they clearly just don't want to be in high school anymore. This school is headed in a dark direction. No one learns anything at this school. Students will be left completely unprepared for college if they even graduate or get into college.

My Daughter graduated at CMS last school year. and has gone over to Delta High. she is special education. and doing fabulous! Mrs. Spralding is the best. she refused to see my daughter fall behind she kept pushing and encouraging and she did it. My son just started at CMS and he loves everyone. Mrs Hiromoto office manager is an angel handles everything just as smooth as can be, never seems bothered and as kind as they make them. Mrs Uslan Principal and Mrs. Walker vice Principal are very strong Leaders and make the schools run as best as they do. we are very grateful our children attend this wonderful smaller community!

Overall, its an esthetically pleasing atmosphere. The classrooms are clean, the grounds are very nice, and the number of students enrolled is nice. We like a small town feel. However, the Staff is extremely disengaged. They don't interact with parents unless the parents reach out to them. They also don't utilize their counselor. There are several kids I know of who clearly would benefit from counseling and as a Counselor, I personally would be on the lookout for red flags or warning signs. It seems that the counselors only job is on an "As Needed" basis. The principal is pleasant to deal with but she should also be working with the counselor for students struggling academically to ensure they get the best shot.
