I have my two kids in Jefferson E.S. I love the teachers, the way they care about the kids and their education. The principal is wonderful. Always so involve and caring about the kids. My kids always talk about how much they love their teachers and the principal. I had never had a problem with the school. I hope everything continues the way it is, and they always care about the kids, which are the ones that matter.

This school's stats has not been updated in some time. It is now a K-8 school, which is not reflected on this site. Scores in ELA, Math, and Science exceed grade level requirements. The school is a California Distinguished School, a CABE award winner, a Title 1 Award Winnder, and a National Blue Ribbon School. The principal is one of only 8 in the country to have earned the Golden Bell Award. Enrollment is near 900.

I disagree with this commentary, altough the teachers work harder to look for excelence in the kids, the principal does not show the same love for the kids. She's most interested in the "good looking" of the school not academic growing of the kids. It's true, most of the classrooms are bungalows, but that's because the money that so many years ago, community collected to build Jefferson went straigh to the construccion of Dickison Elementary.
