VOE Elementary is one of the best schools on the mountain. The teachers are there for the students and take an empathetic approach to their learning. They think outside of the box and allow the students to learn with a real world approach. Students are valued and appreciated and it shows. Parental involvement is a huge plus! The leadership of the principal and teachers are tremendous. It’s refreshing to see the staff care about a child’s wellbeing instead of a test score!

Don't let the test scores fool you. If you are actively involved in your child's education, he or she will have an opportunity to achieve academic excellence. My daughter has attended Valley of Enchantment for the past five years, and has exceeded state testing standards in every instance. VOE provides hands-on learning opportunities that are simply not available in most communities: they hatch and raise chickens on site; have an organic, food-producing, garden which is fully operated by the students; the children hike regularly on our local trails; the fifth grade classes build boats to race across our beautifully restored Lake Gregory. The teachers are invested in their students success and, in a small community like ours, we have the opportunity to get to know them both inside and outside the classroom. For those concerned about bullying, I can tell you that my child has never had negative experience with other students at VOE.

I would rate our experience as exceptional. We’ve attended several different schools in several states and VOE is by far the best school. An excellent environment with overwhelming community support and involvement. I was genuinely concerned after reading some of the older comments but I after having my daughter attend VOE for a year I’m honestly not sure if the reviews weren’t for an entirely different school. We have a one year old and I honestly can’t wait for him to attend this school.

When we moved here a little over 4 years ago and my daughter had to go to VOE i was worried because of all the negative reviews. However i was soon taught that those reviews and either false or outdated because this must be the best school any of my kids have ever been to. The teachers are so much more than just teachers. They have an organic garden and a chicken coop. The staff goes above and beyond for each and every child there. We love VOE!
