My son was on the wrestling team that was coached by a despot named Dave something. He punished the kids on the team because he didn't like their parents, and in my experienced tried to undermine the parents' authority. We had him as a baseball coach in Elk Grove as well, but at least he was suspended in that league. The Kerr principal appeared to be afraid to confront this coach and make any changes.

Overall, I hated this school by the end of my child's time here. I think their policies are ridiculous and not enforced by any means. The dress code is outdated and again- not enforced except on females. Bullying happens every day to many students and nothing is done about it. My child struggled repeatedly without help and even when she and I reached out, nothing was done. She had many issues and when she tried going to the counselor, they talked shortly but nothing was ever handled. I would not recommend this school unless your child requires no help at all with tutoring, social aspects, or anything outside of standardized tests.

My daughter flourished at this school, the teachers are constantly challenging her, she comes home with challenging homework even on weekends keeping her busy and met these challenges with glee. Teachers and staff are just SUPER GREAT.

Josheph Kerr is a great school. the only issue we have had is the lack of support for my son. The pricipal and Vice pricipal seemed to be more interested in what he was doing wrong than what he needs.I think they have forgotten why they do the job they do..I hope no one else has a child to be forgotten
