3/10 The counselors are not effective at this school unless your student is enrolled in IB. Teachers don't engage often enough or they'll refuse to help a student. Students seem to be on their own at this school yes you make some friends, but usually that it

My experience has been with an honor student. The IB program is intense, but I believe that the program is great! I love the structure and support from all staff including the principal's. They are all very supportive. My son enjoys this school very much. He is looking forward to going to college everyday. He had to learn time management in order to keep up in the IB program. This program is not for all students and is not offered at all the schools. I was very happy with my son's first year of high school and that he was able to enjoy it! I love this school and have met many local dentist and doctors that went to this high school. That alone speaks volumes about this school and the students and staff to aim for success!

This school is very impressive considering the surrounding neighborhood and the socioeconomically diverse population they have to work with. My son is attending, in his freshman year now, and I've been very pleased with the quality and dedication of all of his teachers. The kids who are motivated and want to work hard, do very well and can get into excellent colleges. There are many sports and other extracurricular activities available, including a leadership program, to add to the high school experience. Most of all, the IB program has attracted many quality students from all over Fairfield, as it is the only one of it's kind in the area. The IB program has a proven track record, preparing kids for the rigors of higher education, and is recognized by prestigious colleges and universities all over the country.

The school is full of bullies and there is not much supervision. The academics is bad but for sure you can pray that your kid will turn out to be a fighter and hopefully will be able to defend himself. Good luck parents. We are getting out of Fairfield and this school fast, waiting for year to end.
