Worst elementary/middle school in Fairfield. AVOID AVOID AVOID

This school is horrible. I have an 8th grader here and I am elated he is in the 8th grade and will be moving on next year! The office staff is very unprofessional to the point I made a complaint at the district level. The principal, Mr. Gutierrez, leaves a lot to be desired. If you can, avoid this school like the plague.

My two children walk to school, which is fantastic as the traffic issues at B Gale are horrific. My oldest is in 6th grade and my youngest is in 2nd. I spend multiple hours every week there. I can say with conviction, the idea of DI is awesome. I was proud to be a part of it. Over time, and multiple administrators, I have lost all faith. Our principal has no passion, no leadership, and no vision. Nothing changes. Lowest common denomination is the status quo. I have watched great kids leave, at the insistence of great parents. I've also watched great teachers leave, and very capable admin staff. I have given up hope and am pulling my kids out. You should look elsewhere if you can. This school could have, and should have, been the crown jewel of the district, but they can't even clean a bathroom. It's a trainwreck and the leadership doesn't care.

Appalling. My daughter has Asperger's(PDD scale) and is in mainstream. I ve had trouble with this school since day one. One of her teachers likes to announce to the class when she gets D's and F's latley. He belittles her in front of the class by telling her that she doesn't even try and that she doesn't study. My daughter is past tears for this now. Now she just goes on and on about how worthless and stupid she feels that she is. Also, the conduction and body language of one particular lunchlady/yard duty, is more parallel to a jail guard. If I get any more direct with my family's bad experience with this school, I'm sure my words will get used against me. Although there are a few good adults, I am (overall) very displeased with this school.
