Cleo Gordon Elementary School

This is my daughters first year at Cleo Gordon and I will admit when I first found out that it was a "needs improvement school" I was set on getting her out of there as soon as possible, but I found out that "needs improvement" means, among other things, that they get extra money so that the kids that need extra help have it and I am very happy with the way the school is run so far. The only thing that I would change if it were at all possible would be the size of the classes. I can't imagine being a teacher there, I would have to be committed. I have a LOT of respect for the educators today, with all that they have to deal with and to still be able to teach our young children the things that they need to learn. My hats off to all of you!!!

I am a teacher at Cleo Gordon. I have taught there for 10 years. I can't imagine working any place else. The principal is caring, understanding and a truely professional leader. Our parents and staff work well together and all really work hard to help our children succeed. I believe that all staff, parents, and children enjoy coming to school each day.
