Three of my kids attended West Randall this year and I am generally happy with the school. It does a lot with the little it has. Some of the teachers are fantastic and really care about the kids. They do whatever they can to make school a positive place and provide a good education. Other teachers are not so great and seem to be gone at least once or twice a week. The school seems to be doing a lot of add more creativity and subject areas back into what students are taught. They are doing art, music, lots of science, and social studies. My son even was able to attend special art and acting classes after school that he really enjoyed. I haven't heard of other elementary schools in Fontana doing these things. The students also were able to go on field trips this year. My son's class got to go to an art museum in Los Angeles after studying artists and art and it was the highlight of the year for him! There are some troublemakers at the school, but it is generally the same kids that are causing trouble and bullying other kids. I'm not sure if it is just at West Randall or if it is all over, but the school seems reluctant to discipline these kids.

This is one of the worst schools a good parent would ever want to send there kid to. The staff are rude, and seem to have no desire to be teaching. The students are very poorly supervised, and bulling is a big problem. communication with the principle is difficult to have because she is hardly there. I had to two kids attending there and I had to withdraw them and homeschool until I find a better public school option. HORRIBLE SCHOOL AVOID AT ALL COST

Thirty years ago this was a good school and then like the rest of Fontana's schools it started to quickly decline. They had to change the mascot from the Shamrocks to the Bulldogs because a lot of the students didn't speak English anymore. The day there always starts off late as a lot of the parents arrive late with their children. Classes are disrupted constantly by children that have no manners and no wish to learn. Teachers are no longer allowed to discipline students so if they are not raised right this is what happens. Maybe that's why they are Bulldogs now and not Shamrocks.
