What a great public school! I have two kids at Alta Sierra and we have had nothing but stellar teachers all these years! I like the small size of this school (about 300 kids) and that the teachers/staff know my children by name as well as the rest of our family. The education includes music, art, and library time which sadly has been cut out of some schools. Parent involvement is very good and parents are encouraged to be an active part in their children's education. All-around excellent school!

Alta Sierra Elementary School has a good office staff and teaching staff, they are in constant contact with parents keeping us updated with daily events that might occur by telephone and emails. They all use first name basis when talking with parents. The school and playgrounds are kept clean, safe and secure to make it nice for the children and the parents can feel secure in knowing how well their children are being taken care of. My daughter really likes her school, teacher and classroom. Thank you, Lynn mother of a 5th grader)

This is my son's third year at AS. I find this school to be academically stellar. Couple great academics with a kind, respectful and caring atmosphere and you have the ingredients for a well educated and morally great kid. Parents are ultimately responsible for their child's education; there is a tremendous amount of parental support at AS. This support is evidenced by the family like atmosphere and overall school spirit. I'm so thankful to have such a fantastic school in my district.

I don't know how it is now, but when I attended this school in fourth and fifth grade (1996-1998), I excelled! I started out hating math, and when I started middle school in sixth grade, I was placed in seventh grade math. A lot of that had to do with the teachers I had, but I think it's great that this school employed such wonderful educators in the first place.
