HORRIFIC, TO PUT IT MILDLY. NEGATIVE REFLECTION ON LAUSD SCHOOLS.

I promise you this school is the best school you could send your child to. I went to this school and I had the best experience ever. The education is great, the teachers are very interactive, and you just get an all out good experience. The years I went To Normont were the best. The location is a little weird, but other wise the school is absolutely fantastic. All of the administrators take the time to know your child including the after school staff. The school provides an after school program and a summer day camp. I volunteer at the summer day camp and all of the students love the school and all of the great activities they have. Their teachers will push your students so they will be the best they can be. I am at the top of my class because of this school. And if you do decide to enroll your child in this school make sure to try to get them into the gate program all of the teachers are phenomenal and they care for your child like they were their own.

This school may get some bad marks for the area it is in, but if you want your child cared for as well as educated, this is the school for you. The Principal, Mr. Lozano, is always available to the parents and will happily take the time to assure your child is in good hands. The teachers are very professional and genuinely care about your child. I actually pulled my child from Lomita Math and Science Magnet school to to return her to Normont, because my daughter's emotional well being is just as important as her education. This school CARES about your child.

The principal Mr. Lozano is an unpatient, unreasonable and cannot admit when he has made a mistake. It takes a BIG PERSON to admit when their wrong. Children need to know that adults are not perfect and make mistakes too. Mr. Lozano has punished my 6 yr. old son on several occasions for misbehaving. Then later find out it was not him or had wrong facts. He does not bother to get the facts before taking any disciplinary action. He just wants the parent to pick up the kid or suspend a 6 yr. old. and not deal with it. Seriously?... Do your job and us parents would not have to go and find out the facts for them. And our children would not have to miss any class time. He needs to be more involved by going out during recess and lunch instead of sitting in his office all day.
