John R. Peterson Elementary School

excellent place for our 3 children in grades 1st, 3rd and 5th.

Peterson is an amazing school. The Gate program is top notch. We’ve been at our neighborhood school for ten years and we love it. My kids were over prepared for middle school. In fact, the program at a Peterson was much more rigorous than the curriculum at the middle school.

It is an amazing place! I am a teacher myself and am amazed by the caliber of teachers, staff and family involvement at Peterson.

I retired from teaching in 2010 after opening Peterson back up in 1997. I have never worked with a great group of teachers and staff who are caring and experienced. Peterson has had several Nationally certified teachers on staff and has won CA Distinguished School 3 times! The community is great with outstanding parental involvement and enriching programs for all ages. To sum up Peterson, it's a community of caring!
