I'm really pleased with Marina. A lot of my friends chose Huntington and I feel the academics at Marina are superior although I feel you can't go wrong with either school - there is no bad choice. Marina has a strong push to go to college and do well. The only negative is there is a very low emphasis on sports compared to other high schools - with the exception of baseball, cheer and dance.

I used to attend this school in 1970/1971 as a foreign exchange student from Europe, ex Yugoslavia, now Serbia. I had wonderful experience, wonderful teachers, wonderful friends and wonderful American family with whom I am still in contact (can you believe that). I am now 64 and retired but I used to work as an interpreter for English language at an export-import company and later as a High school teacher English teacher in Belgrade. Anyway, Huntington Beach is wonderful city, and Marina High School is the best. Best regards to students and teachers from Nena

My daughter is attending this school for her second year and I must say the teachers are amazing, the students are great and the staff is fabulous. The only thing that I would change is the volleyball coaches There is a bit of favortisuma and preference, but that will not Discourage us. Otherwise this school is great!

This school is just terrible. The teachers don't teach, don't help you and are terribly rude. I got an F on a test on which I studied a lot and I asked the teacher why, he didn't say anything. The students are not really sociable. I was an A student and my grades dropped because of this school. The teachers just don't do their jobs right. Can't wait to move. Plus, if you are an unusual and different person, they take you down. They want you to be the perfect american girl who does basic stuff.
