As a parent, I am very worried for this school's direction under this leadership. This school has so much more potential as we've seen in the past, but they are beginning to dwindle as time goes by. The administration is difficult to communicate with. There are AMAZING teachers!!! The principal is not very helpful when you have concerns, problems, questions, educational concerns, etc...and really its seems like there's no sense of direction or vision of him for Middleton. The school has the potential to be amazing if the administration was willing to fully listen and welcome parents concerns/ ideas/ possible solutions and if the principal would be more involved in and with the community. The parents are amazing and truly want this school to flourish. It takes a team for this kind of school to work. This school would soar if it had a Principal that would be more willing to listen to parents , especially parents that truly COULD help with important things that are lacking in some classrooms...such as: different language skills, student gaps, smaller class sizes and other misunderstandings. I hope this school continues and makes some very much needed changes. I think the principal needs to be more willing to listen to parents and his own staffs' ideas/concerns. The only other tragic thing is that they have most recently been fighting off are charter co-locations and this will only bring down teacher and student morale. All in all, Middleton is a wonderful school because of its teachers. I just hope it continues to flourish in the right direction and doesn't tempt great teachers to leave for a better place. This community needs you all because I know how dedicated and hard you work. You've educated all of my 4 children and they've thrived. Currently I have 1 child and 2 nieces attending and Thank You!!! for working tirelessly all these years.

My daughter is in the Gate Program and I do not like that this school does not have a gifted program for these kids. I feel that the kids are not being challenged enough so that once they move on to Jr High, they will be prepared for gifted/advanced classes. This school is overpopulated and i also do not like that they mix two grades together in one class, simply because they are not able to accommodate these kids. Therefore, the teachers need to be split in half to teach both grades and the kids in those classes are not getting the knowledge and education appropriate for their grade level.
