The new principal , Mr V, as the kids call him, is very involved and we see him every morning greeting parents and kids into school. He makes the school welcoming and the school performance is on the rise.

Previous student for the school year of 2005-2006. I had a wonderful experience at this school and they had great systems for advanced learners. I still remember a lot of the lessons they taught.

My children have attended Foster Road since Pre K. Ever teacher my children had were wonderful. Very motivating and engaged. The principal is fabulous. She has come up with great fun days to motivate the kids. She truly cares about the children. My daughter has always been one of the top students in her class and I think that all started with the encouragement and educational foundation at Foster Road. My son struggled a little bit but the help of excellent teachers and the principal placing him in the appropriate class he has really turned it around. He is now more engaged, looks forward to school and is getting good grades again. Foster Road is a very safe school, with playground aides that know each child by name they do not tolerate any bulling or miss behaving. They teach respect for one another well they are on the playground. Foster Road also has a great after school program called ASES. This is one of the great schools of La Mirada. I will miss it this is my son's last year before middle school.

This school has many present day issues many with the principal, Dr.Maddox She has lack of interest for the school, students and staff. She devotes very little time due to the fact that she is also a principal at a different school. The district was even brought in by parents to intervene. The parents had had to take charge to make sure this stops. Many parents had switched the students out of this school because they see it has no potential.
