Good school with a nice student to teacher ratio

I had a great experience at Rim. I was truly able to maximize my educational potential. There were some amazing, inspiring teachers here, and they provided me with a fantastic four years. Of course not everything is perfect, but I believe that if you are interested in doing well and making the most of your education Rim is an excellent place to do so. I, and multiple other students in my class, were accepted to some of the top universities in California and the country. All the while, we were fortunate enough to spend our time in this beautiful town. I’m very grateful to have had the opportunity to live in Lake Arrowhead.

Last year I swore I'd never send another child through the Rim District. I came to this conclusion while sitting in an administrators office, just moments after the administrator told me that I should have lied about the reason my child was absent. Understanding that 'If' I would have lied then the school would have received funding even if my child was not actually in attendance.

This school is terrible. This year is my senior year at RIM and I could not be more disgusted with it. People are perpetuating racist culture, flying the confederate flag and using the N word. The school is littered with swastikas and people saying "White power". A girl was refused the right to take her yearbook picture because she wasn't wearing a bra, then when she put one on, she was told she couldn't have bra straps showing, so they still wouldn't take her picture. This school does not provide a safe environment for students. Bullying is common and unpunished. I had a substitute as a math teacher for over a month. The administrators enforce rules we were never taught, and perpetuate stereotypes saying girls can't show shoulders because it distracts boys, when several of the teachers bra straps show. I am disgusted with Rim of the World.
