This school is a for sure 5 out of 5 in my opinion this is the best school around and everyday when I ask my daughter if she had a good day at school sh eALWAYS says yes and she loved it and she says all of her friends are so nice and respectful to her the teachers and everyone really. There parents are very respectful and overall great as well. My daughter and I both love that she is at Canyon Lake Middle School now.

The very best, this is definitely a 10 school. I can’t believe the rating is any less, I expected that it will increase with the new teachers and admin they put in the school this last year, they are amazing! The Special Education Dept has it down here and knows what they are doing, thank God! They have been our life savers. We will be sad to leave next year

Between average and bad. These are my top 4:Class size. I don't know why the reported average class size is 24:1. There are 35-40 students in all of my kid's classrooms. Absent teachers. It feels like my kid's teachers take a day off every week for meetings, professional development, etc... Can't those things be taken care of after school? I mean, there's a sign at the front of the school that says, "miss school, miss out." When teachers miss school, kids miss out, too. Textbooks. A few teachers don't use them. I wish they would. According to Canyon Lake's school accountability report card, the school doesn't employ a nurse, school psychologist, or a librarian! I agree with the previous comment about Mrs. Mondragon. She is an excellent teacher, but a school needs more than a handful of good teachers.
