I would not recommend this school for any child with a disability.
Excellent staff, fun and engaging classroom activities
I would not recommend this school for any child dealing with a learning disability. The resources are not effective nor does the child have enough time to receive help. Also my child dealt with bullying there and there was nothing done about it. Pulled child out of this school and it was the best decision.
The most recent review is over a year old but the truth is, it seems most parents are too afraid to speak up about the way things have gone downhill at this school. The principal has become somewhat of a running joke to the parents and some staff, who will talk about how she loves to sell her weight loss shakes to anyone who will listen, how she has her favorite staff, parents and children and how terrible she is at communicating with the public, even down to the patronizing tone she uses with the children at the morning announcements. The sad part though is that CCE has lost it's spirit. Whether that is due to the current staff or not, who can say. They got rid of the Halloween festival for a September BBQ themed bash. They have split up the events by time and last name so that you are no longer guaranteed to see your friends at that morning muffins with mom or other fun events. If my child's last name starts with A and his best friend's starts with Z, why should they be punished? They ask for money for expensive candles and other fundraisers every few months yet we don't get updates on where this money is going or see any improvements on campus. The "Buddy Bench" that the Principal was so proud of has turned into a "Bully Bench" and they refuse to admit the mistake and remove it. This school needs to find a leader that will be held accountable. I suggest if you are looking at this school, you look elsewhere.
