Safe school with updated facilities. Strong leadership and caring staff.

Although a few of the teachers that we've met are great, there are other factors that play into a child's academic success, especially at such a young age. The office staff are not welcoming, nor are they helpful. You would think that a school would want to have someone pleasant, warm, and inviting to be the face or first impression of the school for the benefit of the children and parents who come here everyday. The Principal doesn't seem to interact with the kids much. My child doesn't even know who she is as she seems to always be hiding in her office. It's harder to find a chance to talk to her than the President of the United States, it seems. You have to set an appointment, and when you try to do so by requesting for one, you don't hear back and completely dismissed. Communication is terrible. My child received an award and I never got any type of notification. As a parent, you'd like to be there for these things, even for something as minor as Student of the Month. I was upset and went to the office to ask about it, and it was regarded as no big deal, it's just another award for another month. No apologies, nothing. They don't take any on your concerns seriously. It's upsetting. PTA seems to be very high school and clique-ish - not something you'd want to be a part of, unfortunately. I'd much rather volunteer directly in my child's classroom and help the teacher where I can. I hope the school reevaluates and improves because with some of the great teachers that I've encountered, it could and would have been a great school.

Poor, and no help when you enter the office ,the waiting is like 20 minutes and they don't help when you have a complaint.

School has improved and is still improving
