Amargosa Creek Middle School

We just recently moved here. I only give it 2 stars because my daughter says the students are nice. Well upon enrolling her we found out that there are no advanced classes. They do not have the resources for it. So the high school credit my daughter was earning is now obsolite. I completely agree with the previous comments that the front desk staff are argumentative and I feel deliberately unhelpful. They were almost shocked her first day there that I wanted to speak with adminstration and ask a few questions. The Vice Principal was rude and defensive. I'm just glad this move is temporary. Apparently this is one of the better schools in the area. If you can afford a private I school, do it!

This school has helped my son greatly he started to pay more attention in class and did better when he got to this school.He started getting all As and Bs cause the teacher really tryed to work with them.

I too must question the competence level of the administration staff of the school. Not only were the schedules severely mixed up at the beginning of the year but apparently they cannot open their mail to find needed information to be sure their students are in the classes they need to be in. My daughter was sitting in classes beneath her level and after weeks of trying to get her in the advanced classes she needed, nothing still was being done. I was told it was my responsibility and once I suggested they call the previous school and ask for what they needed, the issue was solved in less than ten minutes. Really...picking up a phone was that hard?? And the whole time I was talked down to by the person across the desk like I had no right to even question the matter or have an opinion about it. All I got was excuses and cut off mid-sentence instead of someone who listened and tried to work toward a solution. So I provided my own. My child no longer attends this school and she is much happier for it.

I just graduated from Amargosa Creek and i really loved it there! They have excellent teachers and staff that are willing to help. The school has awesome after school sports. The school also has electives that would teach you something that you will carry around with you for the rest of your life. Overall this school is the best school that i have ever been too!
