There has been a few ups and downs going to this school, but overall I think it was a great school. I went here all four years and I do not regret it. The teachers have gotten better and my classmates became family. It was a great high school experience for me. I would personally recommend it to others.

This school is considered the best in the district but I think that there are major improvements needed. The students don't want to learn and don't try to learn they are very disrespectful to adults and each other. The teachers are just as bad they are hardly ever there to teach and the ones who are there rely on the internet to teach kids rather than interact with the kids to help them understand the material. They have online classes for stuff that should be demonstrated by a real teacher like P.E. and Chemistry. The kids here are not going to make it far with the system this school has set up the admins and teachers expect a computer to do all the work while they earn a paycheck. Major improvements are needed.

Through the years 2011 and 2012,AVHS has made good improvements! We have new and wonderful teachers and staff. Not all,but most teachers are good! This year I learned how to think rationally and intellectually. Also, our students have changed in a way as well.We all learned to coexist on this campus with one another.Yes,there are still certain students who can be disruptive, but they are still a good group of students who care! We still have fun and come together as students with similar backgrounds.I love this this school! Go Lopes 2013!!!
