I went to LHS from 2008 to 2011. Since then, the school has made leaps and bounds in improving the overall experience for it's students. School spirit is phenomenal, academics has drastically improved and the music program has grown into a true art program. There are many other programs, but these are the ones I'm aware of. The teachers truly care about their student's education. At the end of the day, the success of a student depends on the support they receive, both in class and at home. Pay attention to the classes your kid is taking and make sure they are on top of their school work. Go to their counseling meetings to make sure your child is taking the classes needed to get into college. Get them involved in at least one of the many programs at this school and I guarantee you he/she will perform well.
This school has a great campus, and the violence in this school is extremely low, if not none. One issue I have with this school is JROTC. I feel like this school's JROTC program could be much better than it is now. Proper JROTC events and uniforms and customs are taken less seriously than it should be.Other than that, Awesome school!! GO SPARTANS!!!!
As parents, we have met many amazing young students and athletes, dedicated coaches and teachers, as well as determined administrators at Lathrop High School. We have been impressed with the character of the students we have come in contact with and are thrilled to have met parents that care not only about their student, but the success of the school now and in years to come. It is exciting to see Lathrop grow and break out of the "new school" phase and begin making its mark with achievements and accolades within the school district! Keep it up LHS! GO SPARTANS!
This school has many problems. From teachers embarrassing their students in front of their peers to poorly instructing them. This school in my opinion is very dangerous and should be avoided unless you are interested in the Game Design program.
